Oldfield would like to inform you that we will no longer accept restoration work for amplifiers that are in questionable condition or ones that we think are too far gone to be equitably brought back to life. While we understand that some vintage amps hold sentimental value and some are just plain cool, the truth is that restoring them can sometimes be more expensive than their actual value. Furthermore, many vintage manufacturers used build techniques that are inherently difficult to work on, which adds to the effort and time required for restoration.
However, we will continue to repair vintage amps that are viable and can be serviced with reasonable effort. Rest assured, I am just as dedicated as ever to keeping these units in the game.
